Simplicity is Elegance? Okay.

In 1923, Coco Chanel said to Harper's Bazaar that "Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance." The A-list celebrities adore this fashion genious and take her quotes real serious; showing up completely naked in their home made viedos, bothering not to put bras on while going on stage, forgetting to wear underwear while going clubbing... Young women prove us that simplicity is elegance by only wearing one thirds of a tee and shorts while going out; looking like a cheap prostitute seems to be like super cool nowadays. Thousands of females know that the secret to being attractive to males are through simplicity, I mean extreme simplicty. It's so nice to see lots of females going after their role models. It's also really sweet to see the media is thinking the same way as the fashion goddess Coco Chanel. Take Playboy for instance, having naked celebrities only covered in elegant pearl necklaces and curvy blondes only wearing aprons, christmas hats, gloves etc. on the covers show us Hugh Heffner's commitment to this quote. “The lamb began to follow the wolf in sheep’s clothing.” was written in Aesop; I guess it's right. Maybe the problem is the new generation that are lambs,growing up as sheeps; everyone led by the same shepard and going around in just fur, as simple as that.

A Note From the Blogger

When my English teacher announced to the class that we had to create blogs, which would be a part of our oral grades, I really hated the idea. First of all I really didn't like the idea of 'blogs'; people posting really random stuff never attracted me. Second, I knew that I would never bother to update it, but since it was my English grade she was talking about, I had to. The second thing was to find a topic for the blog. I needed a topic I was interested in; if I was going to do something that I really didn't want to, then I at least needed a topic that would make this project suck less. I decided on posting random stuff on fashion; because I really love fashion and I knew that there would always be new stuff to talk about, so I would never run out of ideas when posting new things every week. Once everything was ready I started posting the things I've written. Everything was going well, I was posting new things every week, until we had the Christmas break. You know how Christmas breaks are, nobody seems to care about anything when you have a holiday that includes Christmas and the New Year's Day. After the break Mrs Feitosa told us she'll be checking the number of posts and the tasks about polls; that's when I realized I was missing 4 posts. I freaked out when I realized that I have to write 4 post in one night in order to get full credit. I spent nearly 2 hours choosing the topic, writing, doing the fancy color work and checking the grammar of 4 long posts. Luckily I was done by the next day, but that teached me a lesson; I should do things on the day I should. From that day on, I swear to God, I've been writing my artickles every Sunday night; and eventhough it's kind of emberassing to admit, I really liked posting stuff about fashion. I mean I love fashion, and commenting plus advising about it is absolutely g-r-e-a-t. Hope you're enjoying it as much as myself. -SK

To be Famous or not be Famous, That is the Question

You must've dreamed of becoming famous one day; all the money, fans, clothes, fame, cameras, movies, TV shows, gossip pages, interviews, even more famous friends...

But why do we want to be so 'public'?
Maybe it's the fact that we all think being famous is having a perfect life without any difficulties.
Maybe we think that money and fame are going to lead us our way in life; smooth and without any problems.

Us humans are lazy; and if we were ever given a choice between a difficult,stressfull task to an easy, free one, we all know which one the most of the people would go for.

But the important thing we all miss is that not all the people have perfect lives; they're living the same life as us, and they do the regular things that 'humans' do. And we are luckier than them, we don't have to live our lives in front of the objectives...

Okay, so being famous is really cool and all, but seriously, just enjoy your life because you can live it the way you want it, and you're actually allowed to have some 'privacy'

'Juicy is for Life'

Juicy Couture, as we all know, is one of the cutest and the most popular brand nowadays. This brand is one of the reasons we love the New World called, the U.S of A. Even the celebrities wear nothing but Juicy Couture sweaties when they feel like it. But what makes us go crazy over this perfectly glam and cute brand?

Juicy Couture is a completely different thing compared to other brands; juicy makes sweatpants, hoodies, t-shirts that are really attractive. Every brand can make sweatpants, but wearing Juicy makes you feel girlier than ever, in a pair of Juicies you feel fabulous, glamorous and pretty. The puffy fabric and the candy colors make these babies unresistable. Juicy's slogans and the sweet doggies with diamonds on them as their logo, Juicy sweeps up the fashion world. Bright colored sweatpants and hoodies with girlie logos at the back and a 'J' hanging down on the zip is the one way ticket to looking and feeling fabulous and being comfortable at the same time.

Juicy bags, wallets, sunglasses and jewelry makes us females fall more into it; the designs on these sweet products have pink, turquise, baby blue, greens all over them, used with colorful ribbons and diamonds. Owning a juicy product should be more than enough to make a girl proud.

Leather Jackets

Don't you just love how the old pieces keep coming up every season?
If your mothers are not like mine then you're lucky; the thing with my mom is, she keeps giving away and trashing her old clothes.

One of my favorites from the 'oldies but goldies' is the leather jackets;
We've seen Anne Hathaway and Lindsay Lohan wearing this holy piece over their dresses on the red carpet, but it's also possible to spot them on everyone, I mean Everyone..

You can always wear a leather jacket; with jeans, shirts, tees, skirts, dresses, shorts, tank tops, anything wearable. And the good thing is that you can wear this piece at any season of the year. It looks sporty with a touch of glam-rock but still cute.

The only thing to be concerned about is the price of the leather jackets; it's always possible to find fake leather jackets at Zara and at some regular brands like that, but if you want to go for real leather with a reasonable price, I suggest you check out the second hand stores: you never know what you can find at those places.

Just pretend that you love Math...

There's a new look that I've started to love after all the MUN conferences: Looking 'Nerdy'. Knee high socks, high waist or mini skirts, shorts, ties, preppy sweaters, big and color- framed glasses, oversized bags and a few books in hand actually looks sexy. If you want to try to fix your look a little and make your look go less nerdier; put on a pair of heels, wear colorful stockings, vests, blazers etc.

Don't forget;
The smarter you look, the hotter you get...

Have fun :)
